Slaw… Never Better!

Adding this slaw as a side dish or topping off a hot dog makes for a cool summer meal.

Not only serving the meal for World Changers, but making the slaw was part of my “job” as well.  This one had to be quick and easy.  I threw in fresh cuccumbers from the garden – a nice addition.  Here’s what I made…

WONDERFUL SLAW FOR HOT DOGS OR HAMBURGERS
2 packages of shredded cabbage 1 cup Mayonnaise Salt and pepper to taste 1/4 c. dill pickle juice 3 T. relish 1/2 cup finely chopped cucumber Mix all ingredients and serve.

Chuckie Cheese – Not a lot of $$$$$ – How we did it!

Looking for a fun time for the little ones?  I happened upon a great deal for my family from Chuckie Cheese.  We enjoyed a pizza, drinks, lots of tickets and tokens for under $20. 

Here’s how:

1.  Register online at Chuckie Cheese to Play, Win, and Save!

Here you can register for coupons that will save you great amounts of $$$ and give the kids plenty of play time.

2.  Play the game Ticket Blaster game and print tickets before you go. 

3.  Remember that kids who do not have enough tickets for the prizes can purchase them for 1 penny per ticket !!!!!

4.  PLEASE watch your children.  Although it’s nice to relax, you cannot replace your children.  There are good people in this world… and then… there are some that are not.

5.  Set limits before you go – Time and Money – then everyone knows the boundries and in the end everyone is happy!

Cookies and Cream.. OH My!

There is nothing better than having the kids involved in kitchen.  This dessert was prepared by my five year old (with a little help from Mom) for our World Changers group.  Needless to say… they sraped the pan clean!

Ingredients

2 pkg chocolate chip cookies,- we buy the cheapest ones we can find  – Store brand usually

1 large of 2 small cool whips – thawed

1 – 2 cups of milk

candy bars – optional

Directions 1. Place the chocolate sandwich cookies, one at a time in a shallow bowl of milk.

2. Create one layer of cookies in the bottom of a 9 X 13 pan.

3.  Spread a thin layer of cream over the cookies.

4.  Repeat layers of cookies and cream until you have used all the cream and all cookies except 2 or 3.

5.  Crumble the remaining cookies over the top,  or crush a candy bar to be used for the topping.

6.  Refrigerate for about 30 minutes. 

This dessert is ready to be eaten quickly after being prepared.  YUM!
